Sool and Magalir Maruthuvam

Department of  Sool, Magalir Maruthuvam deals with subjects related to obstetrics and gynaecology. The well-experienced staff provides in-depth knowledge to the students on both the siddha and the modern aspects. PowerPoint presentations and video classes are conducted so that the students can get a detailed visual understanding of the subject. The department faculties conduct quiz programs, guest lecture programs, seminars and CME programs for students to get detailed knowledge about various diseases. Clinical training classes are conducted for the students regarding female diseases like infertility, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhoea, menorrhagia, uterine prolapse, fibroid uterus, anaemia and also antenatal care, postnatal care. Students are educated about the external therapies like pattikattal in the patient department. The department makes arrangement for free medical camps in the surrounding villages to provide health education and siddha treatment to the needy people. Students participate in medical camps to acquire clinical knowledge and social awareness. The faculty members are guiding and motivating the students to participate and present research papers in seminars, conferences and workshops.
